Park City

We went to Park City with my family over conference weekend. It was a lot of fun, even though I had to leave early for school. Lucas had a great time and it snowed the last day there and he enjoyed playing in the snow, or so I heard.

Going on a scarecrow walk.

The BYU scarecrow was my favorite!

We found some horses a little ways from where we stayed. Lucas liked seeing them and he even got brave enough to get close.

15-Month’s Old!

Lucas is 15-months old today! He had his doctors appointment and unfortunately he is still way below what he should be on weight. He is average for height so I guess that is good. Our doctor said to get PediaSure and give him that everyday so we will see if that helps. I didn’t get to go to the appointment because of school but Kryssi said he was very hard to handle. He freaked out and it took her and the doctor to hold him down to measure him and I think another nurse to help give him his shots. But he is doing good now.

Lucas loves to read books. He can reach his books in his room and he always grabs one and brings it to us to read.

Handsome boy!

He has a hole in these pajamas we noticed after taking this picture.

Quick Update

Sorry the updates haven’t been too frequent lately. I’ve been busy and we haven’t done much worth posting. But Lucas is getting bigger by the day. He is starting to talk more now, actual words that is. He jabbers constantly but he can now say mommy, dad, tractor, baby, yummy, and bubble. Occasionally we hear other things but it is probably just us.

He is constantly going, going, going. He loves to read books, and he will constantly go and grab some from his room and bring them to us to read to him. He is getting tall enough to get into almost anything, which is tons of fun. And he loves to climb. He has a little chair he climbs up on and scares us but he loves it. The other day we left the front door open, and he went out into the hallway and started climbing the stairs by himself. We didn’t even notice until he was halfway up, and he did the rest easily by himself. So that was pretty cool.
Kryssi is loving being a stay-at-home mom, and school is going good for me. I am currently developing my own personal website for school, so once that goes live I’ll post a link here.

More Pictures!

Here’s some more pictures of Lucas. He still doesn’t say a lot that we can understand, but he does babble constantly. Every once in awhile he will say something that we understand, we just don’t know if he really is saying it or we just are hearing what we want to hear. He does say mama and dadda, woof, lately he’s been saying cracker, and I’m not sure what else. But he does understand what we say which is nice.

Trying on mom’s glasses. Doesn’t he look so smart?
He loves getting my basketball and bouncing it on the kitchen floor. When he is outside by the basketball hoop, he tries to shoot the ball. It makes me pretty happy to see, that’s for sure!

Random Pictures

I haven’t updated in a while but that’s really because not much has been going on. Every time we do something interesting we don’t have our camera to take pictures of it. But I am back in school now and I think that is the only major thing different in our lives. I’ve posted some new pictures of Lucas below though. He is getting bigger and it is so fun seeing him start to understand more of the world around him. He is such a funny kid but he can be quite a handful at times. We love him though!

Kryssi put her socks on his arms (clean ones) and he thought it was so funny! He didn’t want anyone to take them off.

We got him some sunglasses for his birthday but he never wanted to wear them. This is the first time he kept them on for a few seconds anyway.

He loves playing with bowls, or basically anything in the kitchen.

He loves his sippy cup that has a straw. He carries that thing around and drinks and drinks.

Kryssi’s Birthday

Here are some pictures from Kryssi’s 22nd birthday! I think she had a good day and she didn’t have to work, which was great.

Getting ready to open presents!

Lucas was supposed to be bringing this present to his mom but he started to open it!

Kryssi letting Lucas help open presents. I think he thought it was still his birthday.

The photo collage I made for her. It has one picture of Luke for each month up to his 1 year birthday.

Birthday Party

Here’s some pictures from Lucas’ birthday party. It’s been a few weeks but I just haven’t had time to get them up.

Trying to get him to blow out the candle. He didn’t know what to do though so I ended up blowing it out for him!

Opening a present.

Surrounded by all his new stuff!

Playing with his new bouncy ball he got from Grandma and Grandpa Fielding. He loves bouncy balls.

Birthday Cake!

Since we are having his party on Saturday and we’ll make cake for him then, I decided to just make him a cupcake on his birthday. I made chocolate frosting and decided to give him one of the beaters to eat. He loved it!

Messy face after eating all the frosting off the beater!

He didn’t really like the cake part of the cupcake, more just the frosting. He didn’t really dive into it like we thought he would, he seemed to not like getting his hands dirty.

He also went to the doctor the day after his birthday for his check-up and more shots. Unfortunately he hasn’t gained much weight. He weighs 17 lbs. 10 oz. and is 30 in. long. His weight is only in the 0.8% so we are pretty worried about that. The doctor basically just said to give him high fat foods, like peanut butter, and put sugar on other things he eats. So hopefully he starts gaining weight soon!
