Spring break trip

Lucas and McKinley got free Jazz tickets since they played in the Jr. Jazz league. They also sell extra tickets for $10 and the game happened to be at the start of the kids spring break. So we decided to head to the game and spend a few days in Utah visiting family.

We went to the Jazz game, Ikea, Museum of Natural Curiosity and This is the Place Park, as well as spent time with family. The weather was great so the kids spent a lot of time playing outside.

Building a House: Day 180-188

Garage doors installed and sheetrock is all taped and textured. Took a bit longer than it should have because we don’t have gas lines run yet, so no central heat. We had quite a few space heaters in the house trying to keep it warm but still took longer for things to dry.

Building a House: Day 139-149

Electrical and HVAC is finished and inspections for that done (and passed!). Fireplace picked out and installed, as well as the furnace (though gas lines won’t be run to our house until after the ground has thawed).

Building a House: Day 134-136

All framing is finally done, most importantly the stairs, so we don’t have to crawl through the window well anymore to see the downstairs! Also finished the framing on the closets in the kids rooms and we have windows, which makes the house feel more complete. And they started on HVAC and got most of the rough-in plumbing done. Lots of progress this week!
