About 3 weeks back we went up to 40 Horse Cave, with the Gregory’s. It’s been a long time since I’ve been there, and we’ve never been with the kids. It’s actually quite a steep hike, so it was an adventure getting up, with William in the backup and helping kids at the same time.

So it’s probably been about a month now, but a while back we went to Ammon Days. They had a free breakfast, that was actually really good, lots of booths that had free things, like snow cones, face painting, balloons, candy, etc. They had some games set up that you could play and win prizes. They also had a ping pong ball drop, where some of the balls had prizes on you could win (we didn’t win anything, but the kids loved running around catching as many as they could from the helicopter).

We went to Bear World last weekend and drove through the park, saw lots of animals (even bears walking right in front of our van), went through the petting zoo and the kids rode some rides.
The last time we were here (probably 3 years ago) Lucas had a meltdown on one of the rides, so we weren’t sure if he’d go on any of them. But he actually tried some of them out and I think enjoyed most of them a lot. McKinley had no problem on any of the rides, so I guess she’s our daredevil.

Lucas celebrated his 6th birthday yesterday, which is another reminder of how fast kids grow up. He had a party with some of his friends where they played some games, ate come cupcakes and broke open a piñata.
That night we had family over for dinner, cake and we did another piñata, though it started to rain so we hurried to get it done. But it was a great day and Lucas had a lot of fun.
Happy Birthday!Excited about his Sonic video game.Nice Christmas wrapping paper.
William took his first steps around the end of May, when we were down in Utah. He kept taking more steps and getting braver and braver, and just after his 1st birthday, he was walking all over. I’ve been meaning to post a video of him doing it since then but seems like every time we try and video him he doesn’t cooperate. But finally caught him on camera walking for a few seconds.
And for some reason the video gets rotated after uploading it. Sorry about that.
This last Saturday we decided to get out and do a little hiking. There’s a pretty easy trail not far from here, right by Heise. So we went and hiked that and afterwards went swimming at Heise.
