McKinley went through preschool graduation last year but because her birthday fell just after the deadline for kindergarten, we put her in preschool again this year. I told Kryssi we didn’t need to go to another graduation but McKinley really enjoyed it, so it was worth it.

One day we made our way to what’s called the Glitter Pit. It took us a bit to get there, we ended up at a closed road at one point, then down a long stretch of a dirt/rock road that I thought might cause some flat tires, but eventually we made it.
It used to be a mineral mine but now it’s just some piles of rocks and an open shaft you can go in and mine your own gypsum. The kids loved it and I think they each ended up with multiple bags of gypsum to take home.

We had to cross into Arizona to get there, so that was pretty cool
