Update

Well I figured it is time to have a few updates on life around the Kotter household. We are doing good, all in all. Kryssi is working (unfortunately a little more than she wants). Lucas is getting bigger and bigger by the day. He now has two bottom teeth and two top teeth. He has been really slobbery lately so we think he must be getting another tooth.

We finally got him to start sleeping better. It took a lot of crying on his part and self-control on our part, but he now goes to sleep on his own, at night anyway. Naps are still a struggle, but we are just grateful he is sleeping better at night. The one downside, he now gets up every morning at about 6. That’s a little too early for us, but at least he doesn’t get up during the night!
He took his first step the other day, or according to Kryssi he did. It was just a little step and then he fell, but it’s a start. He stands up all the time, and he can stay standing without holding on to anything. So I think it is just a matter of time before he figures out the whole walking thing.

I got accepted into EITC. I will be starting school in the Fall, about August 24th or so I think. I am going to be doing the Web Development Technology program, which should be fun. I have taken some online classes dealing with web design, and I have loved it. I’m actually close to having a site up and running that I designed from the ground up, which is pretty exciting.

Messy face after eating some food. He occasionally makes it pretty hard to feed him, by knocking the spoon or turning his head. It then turns into this, his face covered in food.

All washed up and hair slicked back!

Mesa Falls/Memorial Day

We went up to Mesa Falls with our family on Memorial Day. The weather was great, which made us happy, and we had a great time. Lucas didn’t take his normal nap so he was pretty grouchy, but as long as he had someone entertaining him, he was okay.

Haircut!

Lucas’ hair was getting pretty long so last weekend, Grandma Kotter gave him a haircut. He doesn’t like getting his hair combed, if you can’t tell!

Such a handsome boy!

His hair isn’t so much in his eyes or over his ears anymore.

Mr. Troublemaker!

Well Lucas is getting older everyday and that means he is getting into more and more trouble every day! He is a very fast crawler and he can be down the hall before we can do anything about it. He is so close to walking; he pulls himself up with everything and will stand on his own without holding on. He loves getting into everything, which is funny but gets kind of frustrating!

Here is an example of Lucas getting into trouble. He grabbed some magazines (yes those are the Ensigns) and started to rip them up.

But how can you be mad at that cute face?

Luke with his mom. He loves playing with mom.

Such a handsome guy!

Fun at the Greenbelt

Taking a walk on the Greenbelt. There has finally been some nice weather, so we decided to get out and have a picnic and take a nice walk. Lucas loves being outside so it was great!

Kryssi feeding the geese. She was a little (or a lot) scared of them but no fingers were bitten taking this picture.

The first time Lucas has seen geese or ducks. He didn’t seem too scared of them, actually Kryssi seemed more scared!

New Pictures

Lucas loves this toy he got from Amy. He is also trying to stand up all the time now. He uses anything he can to pull himself up. Sometimes he gets into trouble, like in this picture, where he starts to fall and can’t stop himself.

Alf-Alfa!

He is getting way to big! We had to lower his crib mattress down so he wouldn’t fall over the edge!

He loves looking in the mirror and seeing people behind him!

He is still crawling everywhere. He gets into anything and everything. He likes to crawl under his high chair, for some reason, and he reaches up and plays with the straps.
