Twin Falls Trip Day 1

We decided at the last second to take a trip to Twin Falls over Memorial Day weekend. We have never been to see Shoshone Falls and have only been to Twin Falls once (for a wedding), so thought it would be fun.

Stopped at Hells Half Acre to walk around and check things out. It’s only a few minutes outside of Shelley but we’ve never stopped before

We went to a natural history museum in Twin Falls. It was free but it actually had quite a few things to do

Father and Son’s

We had our father and son’s campout at Heise again this year. There was a lot less people this year then last, not sure why, but we still had a good time. It had been rainy the previous few days and it was overcast the day we went up, but the rain held off.

Jazz game and motocross race

Kryssi’s dad had invited Lucas and I to go to a motocross race with him and most of her brothers in April. This was on a Saturday in SLC and it just happened the Jazz had a playoff game the night before. So I got tickets to that and Lucas and I went down early to catch that game.

It was the first game he’s been to and the first game I’ve been to in a while and it was a good one. It was game 6 of their playoff series, they ended up winning the game which won the series. It was crazy loud in the arena and a lot of fun.

Easter

For Easter this year, we went to the easter egg hunt at Taylor Park. It was a little chilly but not too bad. The kids all got lots of eggs and it was all done in 15 minutes, which is always nice.

Then after watching conference, we went to the Gregory’s and dyed easter eggs and did another easter egg hunt.

Kittens and Chickens

We had two pregnant cats this spring that both had kittens a few weeks apart. Our first cat had a litter of 6: 3 white and 3 orange. One of the white ones didn’t make it but the other 5 did. Our other cat had a litter of 5, with one of those not making it. So we currently have 9 kittens if anyone is interested 🙂

We also got 4 more chickens to go with the 3 we already have. Was only planning on getting one more, but figured I couldn’t just get one, as it would be lonely. So was going to get two but somehow ended up with four.

Spring

We had a pretty mild winter here, especially January and February. But then March hit and decided we needed a bunch of snow.

A week or so after that, the weather was nice again so we took advantage and went for a walk by the river for FHE.

We hadn’t been bowling in a long time, so we decided to go on St Patrick’s day.

Aquarium

We decided to head to the aquarium on President’s Day, since the kids were out of school and I didn’t have to work. A new aquarium opened fairly recently in Idaho Falls and we decided to go check it out. It’s definitely a work in progress and not nearly as nice as larger aquariums, but it was still a lot of fun and they had quite a few hands-on exhibits, which the kids liked.

Kryssi was brave enough to hold the snake, at least long enough for a picture
