Flying kites
We didn’t do anything too fancy for Labor Day, but we did go the park, have a picnic, and tried to fly kites. The kids have wanted to all summer and every time I remember, it ends up not being windy enough (which is pretty rare around here). It was pretty windy on Labor Day so we got the kites up for a bit, but as usual, the wind died down pretty quickly after we started.

Mesa Falls
This last Saturday, my parents invited us to go up to Mesa Falls. It was a really nice day weather wise, and probably won’t have much more of that this year. We hadn’t been to Mesa Falls yet this year, which we typically try and make it there at least once a year. But it was perfect weather to feed the fish, hike, have a picnic, and see the falls.

Haunted house
We bought a haunted house kit (like a gingerbread house) last year after Halloween, when they clearance everything. So last week for our FHE activity, we decided to put it together.

Corn maze
We decided to go to a local corn maze for FHE yesterday. We were the first ones there and apparently a little earlier then they expect people, as they were still setting things up. But the kids enjoyed the mazes, the bouncy houses, train ride, slides and everything else.

Thanksgiving
We had a good Thanksgiving this year. We were with the Gregory’s and the kids loved playing with their cousins. The only downside to all the kids is all the germs, as most everyone ended up getting sick, which wasn’t a fun end to the Thanksgiving weekend.
The kids got to open a present on Thanksgiving, one from their cousins, as not all the cousins will be there on Christmas. So they were super excited to do that. The weather was great as well, which is pretty amazing for this time of year. The kids spent some time playing outside and going on a walk.
We are extremely grateful for all the blessings we have this year: the new addition to our family, our new house, the health and strength we have, etc, etc.
