McKinley’s 4th birthday

McKinley celebrated her 4th birthday a few weeks back. Once again, can’t believe how fast time flies. McKinley is such a sweet girl and we are so lucky to have her in our family.

She opened presents first thing Sunday morning of her birthday. Later, she got to have dinner, cake and more presents with extended family. The next day she got to have a birthday party with some of her friends. She was super excited for her birthday this year as I think she’s finally at the age where she knew what was going on.

6th Birthday

Lucas celebrated his 6th birthday yesterday, which is another reminder of how fast kids grow up. He had a party with some of his friends where they played some games, ate come cupcakes and broke open a piñata.

That night we had family over for dinner, cake and we did another piñata, though it started to rain so we hurried to get it done. But it was a great day and Lucas had a lot of fun.

William’s 1st birthday

Probably sound like a broken record but I can’t believe that William is already 1 year old! We had a family party on Sunday (though his birthday wasn’t until Tuesday) and he got to open some presents and eat some cake, which he loved. Then on his actual birthday he got to open more presents. He didn’t understand what was going on, but he loved anytime we sang Happy Birthday to him.

He has his year checkup tomorrow, so not sure on his weight/height/etc, but he is getting too old, too fast. He started taking a few steps when we were in Utah a few weeks back and continues to take more and more steps, so it won’t be long until he’s fully walking. He gets into everything, especially now that he can stand up by himself and he loves playing with all the stuff in the kitchen (might need to lock some drawers down).

We are so grateful to have William in our family. He is always so happy and smiley and it always brightens my day when I come upstairs and he’s so happy to see me. We love you William!

Lucas and McKinley got him this stuffed monkey. Lucas has one just like him and William loves playing with it, so Lucas thought it would be a good idea to get him his own.

McKinley turns 3

McKinley’s birthday was Saturday and we can’t believe she’s already 3!  She had a party on Thursday with some of her friends, then we celebrated Saturday with family.  We are so blessed to have McKinley as part of our family.  She has such a sweet personality and her smiles light up the room.  She loves both of her brothers and can’t wait until Lucas gets home from school each day.  We love you McKinley!

Lucas is 5

Lucas turned 5 (!!! that make anyone else feel old?  No, just me) on Sunday.  We moved into our new house Friday, he had a birthday party with his friends on Saturday, then we celebrated his birthday on Sunday.  So a pretty busy couple of days.

He loves Skylanders, so I put together a Skylander themed party on Saturday (no pictures from that as I couldn’t find our camera at the time).  We then opened presents Sunday, went to our old ward one last time, so he could get sung to there, and then had a family gathering that night, where we had cake, ice cream and more presents.

Our house was (and still is) in quite a mess from just moving, but it was nice to have people over to celebrate and get to show them the new place.  We didn’t have time to make a cake, and I was just going to buy one, but my mom put together some lego cakes and just a normal round cake, which was great.

All in all, even though it was a super busy few days, things turned out great.  I’m so lucky to have Lucas as my son.  I am constantly amazed by what he says and does and he is such a great example to his younger siblings.  We love you Lucas!

2 Years Old!

Lucas turned 2 on July 14th.  It was a fun day, as we had a party that morning with some of his cousins and then he got to go to grandma and grandpa’s house and play.  For dinner that night my mom was cooking on the grill, she looked down, and noticed a skunks tail under the grill.  Turns out a skunk was under there the whole time she was cooking.  We had quite an interesting night trying to figure out how to get the skunk out without having him spray the court, and we eventually got rid of him but he did spray.  Lucas got a little scared but I think it is a birthday he’ll never forget!

Getting ready to open his first present The proud mommy! We got him this Elmo toy that makes noise and he thinks it is a phone.
Opening another present. The birthday boy with all his stash. We did all our shopping at garage sales, and it was amazing the type of deals we found. We probably only spent $15, but he got more then enough. The birthday sign Kryssi made
We decorated the whole house with balloons. Lucas' room, decorated with balloons. Notice his new bed. The elmo cupcakes we made. They turned out okay.
