William’s Birthday

We were in Jackson for William’s birthday, so Kryssi had brought all his presents and we celebrated there.

Jackson Hole family trip – day 3

Our last full day in Jackson, we went to the children’s museum they have in downtown, which we’ve been to before and the kids love. We also went to the rec center (I didn’t get pictures here, since I was swimming), which had a really nice indoor pool with some waterslides and kid play areas. The resort we stayed at had a pool but it was outside and it was too cold on this day to swim, so we let William choose what he wanted to do, since it was his birthday, and that’s what he wanted.

Jackson Hole family trip – day 2

We decided to do the same tram ride I had done the day before. They had a family rate that wasn’t too bad of a deal, plus they had the gondola open the day we went, so we got to ride that as well. Here we are on the tram.

They had a few buildings up here with some chairs out front that the kids rested in

At the resort we stayed at, there were these little creatures that they called whistle pigs that were everywhere. The kids enjoyed trying to sneak up on them and chase them around

That night we went and saw the Bar J Wranglers. Lucas and McKinley really like the show, I ended up with William and Samuel running around outside most of the time.

Jackson Hole family trip – day 1

To celebrate my recent 6 year anniversary at work, and with the closeness of Jackson to us, 10up offered to extend my stay and have my family come up for a few extra days, so that was exciting. Kryssi drove up with the kids Friday and we stayed through Monday morning.

We stopped at a candy store and let the kids pick out a few things

We were just in time to watch the shootout they do by the town square every night

Samuel wasn’t a fan and I ended up having to walk away with him, as the gun shots scared him

Jackson Hole work trip

Every year, 10up, the company I work for, gets everyone together for their annual summit. Last year we went to Puerto Rico and this year they chose Jackson, WY, which was really convenient for me.

The tram we took up to the top of the mountain

We took a tram up to the top of a mountain at Jackson Hole Resort. It was fun because we have a member on our team that’s from Indonesia, who’s never seen snow before, and there was still snow up here, so he enjoyed that

On top of the mountain, they had this waffle restaurant, with supposedly famous waffles. I got one that had strawberries on it, and it was literally just store bought strawberry jam on a waffle. It was good but not something I’d ever get again

Memorial Day

Twin Falls Trip Day 2

Perrine Bridge. We watched a couple people base jump off of it, which was fun

Shoshone Falls. The falls were pretty heavy, with all the winter run off

On the way home, we stopped at Register Rock

Twin Falls Trip Day 1

We decided at the last second to take a trip to Twin Falls over Memorial Day weekend. We have never been to see Shoshone Falls and have only been to Twin Falls once (for a wedding), so thought it would be fun.

Stopped at Hells Half Acre to walk around and check things out. It’s only a few minutes outside of Shelley but we’ve never stopped before

We went to a natural history museum in Twin Falls. It was free but it actually had quite a few things to do

Award ceremonies

Both Lucas and McKinley received some awards at their end of year assembly. It was fun to go watch them both, as they didn’t know we were invited, so it was a surprise to them. McKinley won an award for best reader in her class and Lucas won a few awards, but the big one was the top overall reader in his school, which he got a big trophy and $25 for. It was pretty exciting for him.
