8-Months Old!

Lucas is officially 8-months old today!  It is amazing how fast time flies, especially when you are having fun!  He is getting bigger and bigger everyday and he is starting to learn how to crawl.  He does more of a army crawl right now, using his forearms instead of his hands, but it gets him around.  

He also has his first tooth coming in, finally!  We didn’t know when it would happen but it is finally starting to poke through the gums.  It is pretty exciting.

We found this pair of overalls at a second hand store and we had to get them!

He got these stacking balls for Christmas and he loves putting them over his face and looking through the hole.


I found this hat on clearance so I got it for me but Lucas looks pretty cute wearing it and he loves playing with it (or any hats at all for that matter!)

New pictures

Luke loves using his feet for everything.  He holds things with them and is constantly kicking his legs.  He’s our little monkey!

His first goose egg.  It wasn’t very bad but I’m glad to say it was his mom’s fault, not mine!

I put Lucas in our laundry basket and he loved it!  I don’t know why but he was happy as can be sitting in that thing

Update

Well it has been awhile since I have posted an update so I figured it was overdue.  There hasn’t really been a lot going on but we are still enjoying life and all it’s ups and downs.

Lucas weighs about 15 1/2 lbs. now, which is still less then he should but he is gaining weight, which is good.  He still doesn’t have any teeth, which he was really grouchy the end of last week and we thought he might be teething, but it looks like he was just sick, since still no teeth.
He still hasn’t learned how to crawl either, but he can roll anywhere he wants.  He can also kind of scoot on his belly so between the two he gets around.
I have some new pictures that I will be posting later today.  I have tried to upload some videos but so far it hasn’t worked out.  Hopefully I can get it to work though.

Valentine’s Day and 7 Months Old!

Lucas turned 7 months old on Valentines Day.  He is getting better at sitting up on his own but he still can’t crawl yet.  We are hoping he learns soon because he gets frustrated not being able to get around, though he has learned how to roll pretty much anywhere!


Lucas got a Valentine from his Aunt Kara and he sure was excited to open it up and see what it was!

But of course he had to stick it in his mouth to see how it tasted!

Lucas got some new bath toys from his Grandma Kotter for Valentine’s Day that he really likes to play with.  But again he has to put it in his mouth.

From his Grandma Gregory he got a couple pairs of red socks.  Notice again he sticks it in his mouth.

The past few weeks

It was my 22nd birthday on Monday and we didn’t do much to celebrate but this is Kryssi’s card she made for me.  She had Lucas sign it too which was pretty cute.

We got Lucas this big toy to sit in for Christmas and it has a mirror on it that he just learned he can look into.  He loves to lean over and look into it.  I don’t think he realizes he is looking at himself though!


This is is favorite thing to do when he is supposed to be sleeping.  He someone turns himself sideways at the end of the crib and then kicks his legs against the side.  We are not sure how he turns himself so easily but he loves doing it.
He also likes rolling on his belly and grabbing the sides of the crib.  He takes his pacifer out and bangs it against the side.
I had a Klondike bar that Lucas kept trying to eat so I gave him a taste of it and he loved it!  I guess he is my son!

New Highchair

We finally got Lucas a highchair that my parents had and he loves it.  We have been feeding him some solid foods for awhile, but we have started giving him some regularly.

He has tried rice and oatmeal cereal, apples, pears, peaches, corn, peas, bananas, chicken, and other things I can’t remember at the moment.  His favorite so far has been peas.  He loves being in his highchair and eating.

Kryssi will put him in his chair sometimes just to play around.  She gives him his sippy cup and just lets him have fun.  He loves it!

We got some pictures of Lucas and some family pictures taken shortly before Christmas and I’ve been meaning to post some of them up here but haven’t got around to it.  We were worried Luke wouldn’t like it but he did great.  The photographer said he was the best baby she has ever photographed.  He smiled in almost all of his pictures so we were proud of him!
