Since we are having his party on Saturday and we’ll make cake for him then, I decided to just make him a cupcake on his birthday. I made chocolate frosting and decided to give him one of the beaters to eat. He loved it!

He didn’t really like the cake part of the cupcake, more just the frosting. He didn’t really dive into it like we thought he would, he seemed to not like getting his hands dirty.
He also went to the doctor the day after his birthday for his check-up and more shots. Unfortunately he hasn’t gained much weight. He weighs 17 lbs. 10 oz. and is 30 in. long. His weight is only in the 0.8% so we are pretty worried about that. The doctor basically just said to give him high fat foods, like peanut butter, and put sugar on other things he eats. So hopefully he starts gaining weight soon!
Looks like a good cupcake! Oliver was the same way on his first birthday; he didn't want to get his hands messy so he just ate the frosting off of his cake with one finger!
He looks so cute! And dang how would that be to have to put sugar on all of our foods :)…I would be a baloon haha. He is such a cutie, I cant believe he is already one.
